A new trend is not a strategy
When following every trend replaces a personal judgment on relevance.

A substitute action in four steps
The situation
You follow every new trend because you don't want to miss out. Whatever is currently getting attention feels automatically important. This creates motion, but not necessarily direction.
Why it is tempting
Trends are safe. You can join them without having to risk your own judgment. They provide a sense of progress and relevance without requiring you to define what your actual goal is.
What it replaces
A personal judgment on what actually fits your own objectives. Not everything that is new is relevant.
The next concrete step
Before following any trend, ask one simple question: Does this help our current goal—or is it just a distraction?
Substitute actions are human. Noticing them is not a verdict — it is an invitation to try the smallest real action.
