The perfect training plan is not a workout
When preparing for movement ends up replacing the movement itself.

A substitute action in four steps
The situation
You compare training regimens, watch videos, save workouts, and read up on muscle groups, repetitions, and optimal frequency. Everything feels meaningfully prepared. Yet your body hasn't performed a single movement.
Why it is tempting
Planning is controllable. It provides structure, progress, and the feeling of doing something right. You can perfect it without ever having to complete a single set.
What it replaces
The first actual training session. Not the perfect one, not the most efficient one, not the most scientifically sound one—simply a session that actually takes place.
The next concrete step
Schedule and complete twenty minutes of movement. Don't optimize, don't document, don't compare. Just begin.
Substitute actions are human. Noticing them is not a verdict — it is an invitation to try the smallest real action.
